The “Augury” series of works, weaves together themes of mythology, science fiction and esoterica into fantasy dreamscapes, representing something both ancient and modern.
I intend to create a world where mythic consciousness evolves into magical beings that convey messages of natural phenomena and transformations.
I have woven esoteric threads through the works as a language of layered signs and symbols that invite decoding rather than straightforward interpretation, with titles that suggest further meaning…
Each work begins with an under painting in oils, using earth tones, and then completed using coloured glazes.
