Paul Kingsley Squire…

is a London based artist & musician, whose portfolio includes ethereal, otherworldly abstracted landscapes, surreal figurative works imbued with symbolism and old master inspired fantasy paintings.

He is fascinated by themes of metamorphosis and transformation and in recent years he has developed several distinct series of works, that play with dualism and the esoteric, creating a fusion of futuristic subject matter with an aged aesthetic.

Across each medium, his artistic style retains a consistent ethereal quality, and boasts polish and thoughtfulness that allows ideas of psychology, nature and consciousness to be pondered by each viewer.

His music encompasses dynamic soundscapes, in dreamlike, yet rhythmic electronica compositions.

Statement

“I am expressing an inner state of being, a longing for alternate worlds and realities, fuelled by an insatiable curiosity.

Through this exploratory drive, I have developed a variety of methods and techniques that reflect my highly individualistic style. I am fascinated with the process of oil painting as a medium to manifest my vision.

Inspired by myth and symbolism, my portfolio invites viewers into dreamlike realms, ethereal and dynamic landscapes, populated by anthropomorphic beings and fantastical imagery.

Life is complex and created from many things, and I am interested in many things: nature, technology, spirituality & how all of this fits together. I draw inspiration from the past, look forward to the future, and create a universe of my own making in the present."
