"The Tides of Selene" is an oil painting that embodies the essence of the moon goddess Selene, conducting the tides against the night sky. “AUGURY” SERIES STATEMENT
This series weaves together themes of mythology, science fiction, esoterica and symbolism into old master inspired fantasy dreamscapes.
They hint at something ancient and modern, in a universe where nature integrates with technology, magic and anthropomorphic forms, creating modern allegories to be deciphered.
I hope to invoke through these works, certain concepts and ideas that provoke discussion among the viewer, including the symbolic representation of the human inter connectedness with nature, technology and spirituality.
