New abstract landscape paintings, Summer 2021

A return to "The World Beyond" series of abstract landscape oil paintings in the summer of 2021.

Each time I return to my abstract landscape works I discover some more techniques which help to further enhance the feeling of light and depth in these paintings.

Using a combination of palette knives and brushes the paint is applied in gradual layers of translucent and opaque colour, enhacing the luminosity.

Particular favourites of mine during this period were "The Depths of Infinity" and "Echoes of Avalon" both of which were bought by the same collector along with "Deep Blue Dream" and "Equinox".

"The Depths of Infinity" dispersed with any kind of 'structure' and I restricted the colour scheme to watery blues and greens with a hint of red and yellow.
